The Afterglow portrays the emotional experience of being human. The remnants of euphoria, represented by glowing, luminous colors, fade as the weight of human existence takes hold. The deep blues symbolize this heaviness, and the once angelic figures are transformed into human beings, grappling with the complexity of human emotions.

Inspired by the self promoting expressionism of the late seventies New York art scene, it was originally intended to be a Warholian interpretation of Mick Jagger, which morphed into a captivating muse, emerging from a halo of radiant colors.
